Lite läsning för dom som trodde att rättvisa skulle skipas, efter röran i Bangkok som PAD ställde till med. Och som tror på Thailändska domstolar.

The Secretariat of the Prime Minister is considering withdrawing lawsuits against leaders of the People's Alliance for Democracy for besieging Government House and blocking roads nearby last August. Methee Jaisamut, lawyer to plaintiff Loyluen Bunnag, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister, told the Civil Court during the first cross-examination of the prosecution Tuesday that he did not wish to examine any witnesses and that the plaintiff was considering withdrawing the suit altogether. Methee reasoned that the defence had, after all, left Government House and removed blockades from adjacent roads. The court has scheduled the next hearing for May 19. PM's Office Minister Satit Wongnongtaey denied government interference in the case, saying that the Secretariat of the Prime Minister wanted to withdraw the case and not seek compensation because the PAD had left Government House. Meanwhile, public prosecutors postponed making a decision on whether nine PAD leaders should be indicted on three charges to April 8. This came after the nine requested further questioning of 38 witnesses. Police had earlier pressed charges against Chamlong Srimuang, Sondhi Limthongkul, Pipop Thongchai, Somsak Kosaisuk, Somkiat Pongpaiboon, Suriyasai Katasila, Chaiwat Sinsuwong, Amorn Amornrattananont and Terdpum Jaidee accusing them of committing an offence with the intent to change the regime, racketeering and inciting unrest. PAD lawyer, Nithitorn Lamlua, said he would collect witnesses for questioning within a week. Public prosecutors have also postponed making a decision on lese majeste charges against Sondhi to April 29, after the PAD leader's lawyer presented additional information and evidence to prove that he was loyal to the monarchy. Police pressed charges against Sondhi after he repeated statements made by Daranee Charncherngsilpakul, which were deemed insulting to the monarchy, on stage on July 20 last year. Mvh Isan Lover
