Privata organisationer startar kampanj mot korruption

"Giving and taking bribes is tantamount to plundering the nation because every baht from the state's coffers should be spent for the country's development.

"What is worrying is that the Thai people think corrupt practice is acceptable. This thinking is very dangerous. If this is allowed to continue, Thailand would collapse in the future," Mr Dusit said.

Mr Dusit said the anti-graft network has been set up by 21 private organisations in the country including the

Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thai Bankers Association, Securities and Exchange of Thailand, and Federation of Thai Capital Market.

The network will on June 1 declare an end to 'offering bribes'.."

Man får hoppas dom lever länge nog för att göra sig hörda, eller att dom inte får ett erbjudande dom inte kan tacka nej till.

Lär inte bli mycket till utredning om något skulle hända då BIB (även civilt) räknar kontanter stort sett varje kväll hemma på kammaren.

Intrycket jag fått är att korruption är dåligt förutom när det gynnar en själv. Därav den något pragmatiska inställningen.

Så länge folket får ett par hundra baht-och alltså tjänar pengar på att välja partiet-så är det okej för de flesta i Thailand att det valda partiet är korrupt.

Visst är det en skrämmande utveckling men är det inte också så att "man får det man förtjänar".

Kan tyvärr inte se att thailändska folket förtjänar något bättre när majoriteten själva föredrar ett korrupt samhälle.
