Travel bubble with China being considered for New Year



The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is looking into opening a travel bubble with China at the New Year – opening the country up as there are 22 low-risk provinces in China that have had no new cases in 150 days. The bubble would allow Chinese to enter Thailand without quarantining. The Ministry will be meeting with the Chinese government next week to discuss the plan. The Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) is urging the country to include South East Asian countries in the bubble with the idea that the flights would be reciprocal, allowing Thais to enter those countries as well.
