News reaching us from Sweden indicates that Leone Island singer, Ronald Ssemawere aka Guvnor Ace is seeking asylum in the country.

According to a well-placed source in Sweden, Guvnor Ace is seeking asylum under the pretext of being a homosexual, a practice which is internationally known to be illegal in Uganda and punishable by law.

This comes 5 months after Guvnor Ace ended his relationship with his 69-year-old wife, Mona-Lisa Larsson and ran away from her.

Our source has revealed that the “Mukadde” singer is currently living in a camp of asylum seekers as he processes Swedish citizenship.

“He's in the camp seeking asylum claiming to be a homosexual. All asylum seekers are given apartments and monthly allowance,” the source said.

The source adds that Guvnor Ace and other Ugandan asylum seekers in the camp, are processing their citizenship with the help of Naome Ruzindana, a Ugandan gay rights activist though her Sweden-based LGBT NGO called Find Hope, which helps Ugandans to seek asylum.
